Our task in presenting the second Universal Access in Tourism workshop to staff members of Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency and Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism was made all the more enjoyable by the group’s obvious willingness to learn as much as they could from the experience.

Cheryl Witte (NMBT Manager – Information Services) said, “Please accept our sincere gratitude for the incredibly enlightening workshop which was presented to our frontline staff. I believe that all staff who attended have had their eyes opened regarding unconscious bias towards people with disabilities and are more sensitized to the challenges that they face. Well done to the team that presented!”

It is always easy to convey a positive message to an info-hungry audience and our team of presenters had a great time interacting with the participants. We are encouraged by the interest shown in having APD present a similar series of workshops aimed at frontline staff working in guesthouses and hotels in the near future.
