Ability Recruitment is looking for enthusiastic applicants for a Retail Learnership with a leading South African retailer.

Entrance requirements:

  • Confirmation of Diagnosis of Disability done by a medical practitioner
  • Interview and assessment (assessment tests basic level: reading, writing, numeracy and problem solving) – applicants must achieve at least 75%
  • Applicants do not need Grade 12

JOB SPECIFICATION:

  • Assist customers on the shop floor
  • Merchandising
  • Process Payments and purchases on the POS system
  • Opening new accounts
  • Maintaining and controlling stock losses

Six specific areas that are covered in the training material:

  • Interact with Customers
  • Mark Merchandise and Maintain Displays
  • English Language Fundamentals
  • Maths Fundamentals
  • Recording Transactions and Processing payments
  • Understanding the Wholesale and Retail environment
