Changing lives by empowering persons with disabilities
The AbilityWear Work Centre provides sewing, screen-printing and embroidery employment opportunities and skills training to persons with disabilities in and around Nelson Mandela Bay.
The centre is the only one of its kind in NMB and is considered a forerunner nationally. It is in line with the developmental objectives outlined in the National Development Plan 2030 and fulfils severalof the key targets set out in the NDP, namely: poverty reduction, economic growth, economic transformation, and job creation.
Our people working on the centre’s various sewing production lines and in-house embroidery and screen-printing departments custom manufacture and brand a wide range of clothing apparel, bags, cushions, bedding, quilt blankets, jackets, tracksuits, sports kits and more.
The centre’s ever growing customer base includes government departments, large corporates and some 50 schools.
Please feel free to visit us anytime at 55 Paterson Road, North End, Port Elizabeth.
