The National Institute for the Deaf has partnered with APD Nelson Mandela Bay to offer top class training to young adults with disabilities. The NID has branches all over South Africa offering numerous SETA accredited qualifications to hundreds of learners.

The Port Elizabeth branch is situated at the premises of the Association for Persons with Disabilities in Paterson Road, North End and caters to learners between 18 and 28 years old.

Learners complete one year formal training that includes theoretical and practical classwork as well as practical workplace training in APD. Learners receive a stipend to assist with travel expenses and food.

NID also boasts a 98% job placement rate at the end of the qualification.
